Sydney Maternity Photographer
As I mainly photograph weddings, most people don’t know me as a Sydney maternity photographer. I am a photographer and I photograph lots of different genres. Portrait photography is something I love and what I love about it, is it comes in many different forms.
I love photographing people, whether it is during my travels overseas or a local maternity shoot. It’s something I plan on exploring a lot more outside of weddings.
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Tayla and Adam as they prepared to welcome twins into the world.
The photo shoot started at their home which I think is excellent seeing it is the same environment the children will grow up.
Tayla and Adam are a warm, hospitable couple with a great sense of humour. I had a great time photographing them as it’s not often I do maternity shoots.
Once I had finished photographing Tayla and Adam in their home, we headed out to ‘Camelot’ for more photos. Camelot is a stunning property with a plethora of fantastic backdrops and locations for photographers.
The stables at Camelot have always been a favourite of mine because of the dark textured backgrounds and beautiful naturally directed window light. When we were about to leave I noticed the amazing afternoon light and immediately had certain images in mind I wanted to capture.
I exposed for the highlights which naturally darkened the background providing the negative space I wanted in the composition. Tayla looks angelic and the series of photos here are some of my favourites.
I got Adam involved as well as the light was too good to ignore. I am not well known as a Sydney maternity photographer but I’m excited to print a few of these images.
