A Southern Highlands Wedding |Peppers Manor House | Kylie & Tom

Tom and Kylie are from Canberra and decided to have their Southern Highlands wedding at Peppers Manor House. The weather really looked after us with nice overcast conditions for the ceremony before the sun making an appearance at the end of the day.

Peppers Manor House

Peppers Manor House is an elegant country retreat located in Sutton Forest. The estate offers a wedding venue with class and elegance for those wanting a Southern Highlands wedding. The venue’s grounds are known for its colourful gardens, and the beautiful manor house has a rich history and heritage. I love photographing weddings at the estate because it offers great photo opportunities indoors and outside.

A Southern Highlands Wedding

I really do enjoy being able to be part of someone’s special day and be trusted to capture such an important event. Tom and Kylie were very accommodating and easy to get along with. The relationship between the photographer and their clients is extremely important. There usually isn’t a lot of time to get to know your clients beforehand. It’s important to quickly build a great working relationship during the day as you want your clients to have fun and be relaxed. After all, it is their wedding day, one of the most important days they’ll have in their lifetime. When photographing Southern Highlands weddings I am privileged to work with some great wedding suppliers and this wedding was no exception.

Pre Ceremony

I met Tom and the groomsmen first for photos capturing the candid moments of getting ready and the interactions with family members. I then went upstairs to the bridal suite to photograph Kylie and the bridesmaids. Pre-ceremony I am limited to the bridal suite as no one should see the bride before the ceremony.

Kylie wore a Sottero and Midgley dress and the ceremony was held in the gardens at the estate. After the ceremony and location photos, it was time for canapes and drinks before heading inside for the reception. A lot of dancing and celebrations followed and I really enjoyed being able to document Tom and Kylie’s wedding day. I love a Southern Highlands wedding and being able to work with great clients and wedding suppliers who are all very professional.

Wedding Suppliers

Wedding suppliers I have worked with who I think are professional and great at what they do are listed on my pricing page. When working in the wedding industry I think it’s imperative to use professionals. When I photograph a Southern Highlands wedding with other professional suppliers it makes my job less difficult. With makeup artists, it’s important to use professionals who know what they are doing and use quality makeup. The timings on the wedding day are very important. As a photographer I have a window of when the bride’s hair and makeup are finished to when she walks down the aisle.

So it’s important for me to do my job well, that other suppliers are on time. Your wedding photographs will document not only the friends and family you share your day with but also details, the venue, location, styling etc. The atmosphere on your wedding day is contributed by the colour, music, guests, food, location surroundings etc so it’s important to choose suppliers that will help your dream wedding become a reality.
