Off Camera Flash Workshop | Photography Workshop
On Monday I held my latest Off Camera Flash Workshop | Photography Workshop at Milton Park Country House in Bowral, Southern Highlands. We had a wide range of photographers on this workshop and Bowral turned the weather on for us.
The Autumn colours were beautiful, and the group got some amazing images of our model Libby.
Libby’s hair and makeup were done by Yvette from Ethix, and both were invaluable in making the workshop a success.
The morning started with some lighting theory and a little bit of post-processing before photographing our model Libby in the afternoon. I went through various lighting setups in the shade and harsh light as well as a few high-speed sync example.
This workshop is an introduction to off camera lighting and I supply all the lighting equipment including wireless triggers.
Not everyone getting into off camera lighting has their own lighting equipment so I think these workshops provide a good platform to introducing people to this style. They can then decide if it’s something they want to continue exloring while getting hands on experience.
The other benefit attendees get when attending my workshops is they can build their portfolio with photogrphing model in a great location.
We were using the Profoto B1 and B2 with wireless triggers supplied by Specular in Sydney. The next workshop I might use Godox lighting as I think it’s important to try different systems.
Below are a few images I took and edited the same day.
