Milton Park Weddings | Bowral | Dolly & Scott

Milton Park Weddings | Bowral | Dolly & Scott

Milton Park weddings are so good to photograph and the venue is one of my favourite places to photograph.

Located just outside of Bowral, Milton Park is a favourite for those couples wanting an elegant European style wedding in a country atmosphere.

The Grand Mansion

Built at the turn of the 20th century by the Hordern family, Milton Park provides accommodation, fine dining and a relaxing atmosphere. There’s also the French pool house and amazing gardens so you can see why photographers love this venue.

Dolly and Scott are from Brisbane and had a daytime wedding in the beautiful tulip lawn located in the grounds at Milton Park. Their wedding was an intimate affair with a lunchtime reception and with Dolly originally from Canada, there were a couple of guests travelling a long way to celebrate.

Preparations

Yvette from Ethix Makeup Beauty & Styling who always does an amazing job completed Dolly’s hair and makeup. I personally use Yvette for my photography workshops as well as her work is second to none.

We started in the morning meeting Scott and his two groomsmen at a property not far from Milton Park. The atmosphere was a lot of fun and we got some great photos before heading to Milton Park to photograph Dolly.

Dolly is very charismatic and full of life so it’s hard to not feel positive and happy whilst in her presence. The whole wedding party was a lot of fun in fact and I felt privileged to be part of their amazing wedding.

I find lunchtime weddings a lot more relaxed and elegant. There was plenty of time for photos with the amount of light we had during the day and being a lunchtime reception we had plenty of time when it came to photos.

Location Photos

After the reception, we spent a bit over an hour casually moving around the estate getting some photos making use of the beautiful gardens and afternoon light.

Once we finished at Milton Park we headed back to Leyland Green, the property where everyone was staying for more photos. We then said our goodbyes and left this amazing couple and their friends to continue celebrating.
