Style, Pricing, & FAQs

My Style

My style of photography can be described as cinematic, timeless and elegant. I get my inspiration from a variety of things including art, films and various photographic styles.

I run a boutique studio who caters to clientele who want images of the highest quality. My clients and I share a common interest in wanting to create beautiful images which are printed and presented in high-quality albums.

The high standard of products, creative vision and commitment to my clients is very important to me and each wedding is personally photographed and edited by myself to produce unique artistic wedding images with attention to detail.

I do not outsource the post-production or photography to anyone else as the final product is a reflection of my work.

I am not a large studio with a group of photographers contracted out to different weddings where the client doesn't know who is turning up.

My focus is on quality and a personalised service which we deliver.

The Investment

Leading up to your wedding I like to meet with clients or skype if you are interstate to discuss your wedding.

I use an assistant/2nd photographer at weddings to help with off camera lighting and to second shoot during the ceremony/reception so all the important moments are captured.

All images are full high-resolution edited JPEGS stored on a USB ready for printing.

We are available to photograph weddings anywhere in Australia or overseas.

I offer a variety of packages from photography only to different Queensberry album packages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you be the photographer on the day?

Yes, I will be the photographer at your wedding. I run a boutique studio and all the photography, post-processing, consultations are done by myself. I do however have an assistant who will be with me on the day to help with lighting and second shoot during the ceremony/reception.

How many images do I get?

On average I take about 60-70 images an hour so for an 8-hour wedding, you'll receive around 500-600 images. All images are full high-resolution edited JPEGS ready for printing.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I travel anywhere in Australia or overseas. Travel fees will be calculated based on the location of your wedding.

Who has copyright?

All photographs are the copyright of Nigel Unsworth Studios, though the wedding contract provides a written release for you to print and use any of your images for private non-commercial use. You can print as many images as you want at whatever size.

How much time do I need to set aside for photos on the wedding day?

Please allow around 45 mins for the groom, 1 hour for bridal photos, 30 mins after the ceremony for family photos and around 1-2 hours for location photos. Different cultures obviously have different traditions so these times will vary. I have photographed Assyrian, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese, Croation, Serbian, Italian, Indian and Jewish weddings.

Do you bring a second shooter?

As stated above I have an assistant who mainly helps with lighting etc. They will 2nd shoot during the ceremony and reception, but I will be the photographer at all locations.

How long before we receive our images?

Please allow 6 weeks after the wedding date for me to finish your images. Album design and production vary in time. I usually ask clients to select around 50 to 80 of their favourite images, and I will design the album around those images. Alternatively, I can do a pre-design of your album. Either way, a pre-design will be emailed to you, and the album won't be sent off until you are happy with the final design.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have public liability insurance for 20 million dollars.

How to book?

Your wedding date is secured by the payment of a $1000 deposit. The remaining amount is due 4 weeks before your wedding date.
