Style, Pricing, & FAQs

My Style

Nigel Unsworth Studios is a  boutique studio providing timeless artistic images printed and presented in the highest quality albums. Although our office is located in the main street of Berry on the NSW South Coast, we also provide wedding photography in Sydney, Wollongong, Southern Highlands, Canberra and Australia wide.

The quality of product, service and experience I provide is essential to me and the fundamental principles of my business.

I love photographing couples on their special day, capturing the emotions shared with family and friends. I have a relaxed, unobtrusive style so you can relax and enjoy the day.

I have studied creative arts/photography at university, and each wedding is personally photographed and edited by myself. There is no outsourcing of photography or post-production as the final product is a reflection of my work.

So if you are someone who values the art of photography, and the importance of capturing these special memories, feel free to get in contact to discuss your wedding.

The Investment

Wedding photography is an investment and it is very important to choose the right photographer who's style and final product you are going to be happy with.

With all our packages you will receive the high-resolution images and all images will be edited and post-processed with our unique style. Leading up to your wedding I like to meet with you in my office or skype if you are interstate to discuss your wedding.

I use an assistant/2nd photographer who will also photograph the ceremony and reception so all the important moments are captured and won't be missed.

Photography Only or Queensberry Album Packages are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you be the photographer on the day?

Yes, I will be the photographer at your wedding. I run a boutique studio and all the photography, post-processing, consultations are done by myself. I do however have an assistant who will be with me on the day to help with lighting and second shoot during the ceremony/reception.

How many images do I get?

On average I take about 60-70 images an hour so for an 8-hour wedding, you'll receive around 500-600 images. All images are full high-resolution edited JPEGS ready for printing.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I travel anywhere in Australia or overseas. Travel fees will be calculated based on the location of your wedding.

Who has copyright?

All photographs are the copyright of Nigel Unsworth Studios, though the wedding contract provides a written release for you to print and use any of your images for private non-commercial use. You can print as many images as you want at whatever size.

How much time do I need to set aside for photos on the wedding day?

Please allow around 45 mins for the groom, 1 hour for bridal photos, 30 mins after the ceremony for family photos and around 1-2 hours for location photos. Different cultures obviously have different traditions so these times will vary. I have photographed Assyrian, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese, Croation, Serbian, Italian, Indian and Jewish weddings.

Do you bring a second shooter?

As stated above I have an assistant who mainly helps with lighting etc. They will 2nd shoot during the ceremony and reception, but I will be the photographer at all locations.

How long before we receive our images?

Please allow 6 weeks after the wedding date for me to finish your images. Album design and production vary in time. I usually ask clients to select around 50 to 80 of their favourite images, and I will design the album around those images. Alternatively, I can do a pre-design of your album. Either way, a pre-design will be emailed to you, and the album won't be sent off until you are happy with the final design.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have public liability insurance for 20 million dollars.

How to book?

Your wedding date is secured by the payment of a $1000 deposit. The remaining amount is due 4 weeks before your wedding date.
