Classic Sydney Ballroom Black Tie Wedding | QVB Tea Room
Jennifer and Darren’s had an elegant Classic Sydney Ballroom Black Tie Wedding | QVB Tea Room. The wedding took place in Sydney and was inspired by the glamour of Old Hollywood. What I love about winter weddings in Sydney is there are not a lot of people around which worked out well when scouting locations for photos.
Mortdale Oatley Baptist Church was the venue for the ceremony and is a special space for the bride and groom as it was here they first met. After the ceremony, we headed into the city for some photos around the harbour.
The combination of winter light and rainy weather provided a unique look and feel to the images. I cannot thank Jennifer and Darren enough for braving the cold wet weather. I used the Profoto B2 kit which was especially handy during the low light managing to get some great off-camera flash images.
Location photos were followed by an elegant reception at the QVB Tea Room. The ballroom is beautiful, full of chandeliers and ornate details that made the wedding a grand timeless event. I felt privileged to be part of Jennifer and Darren’s special day with their amazing group of friends and family who helped celebrate their wedding.
This Sydney wedding wedding is also featured on The Black Tie Bride, a very inspirational website for anyone planning an elegant timeless wedding.
