Milton Park Weddings | Bowral
Milton Park weddings are so good to photograph and the venue is one of my favourite places to photograph weddings.
Located just outside of Bowral, Milton Park is a favourite for those couples wanting an elegant European style wedding in a country atmosphere.
The grand mansion, built at the turn of the 20th century by the Hordern Family provides accomodation, fine dining and a relaxing atmosphere with a bar, sitting rooms and open fire places. There’s also the french pool house and amazing gardens so you can see why photographers love this venue.
Dolly and Scott are from Brisbane and had a daytime wedding in the beautiful tulip lawn located in the grounds at Milton Park.
Their wedding was an intimate affair with a lunchtime reception and with Dolly originally from Canada, there were a couple of Canadians in the wedding party who travelled a long way to help celebrate.
We started the morning meeting Scott and his two groomsmen at a property not far from Milton Park. The mood was great and we got some great photos before heading to the bridal suite at Milton Park to photograph Dolly.
Dolly is very charismatic and full of life so it’s hard to not feel positive and happy whilst in her presence. In fact the whole wedding party was a lot of fun and I felt privileged to photograph and be part of their amazing wedding.
I find lunchtime weddings a lot more relaxed and obviously there are a lot less time constraints for photos with the amount of light we have during the day.
After the reception we spent a bit over an hour casually moving around the estate getting some photos making use of the beautiful gardens and afternoon light.
Once we finished at Milton Park we headed back to the property where everyone was staying for more photos before we said our goodbyes and left this amazing couple and their friends to continue celebrating.
